Time goes by slowly when you're not doing anything. And if I wasn't waiting for Born to be Wild, I would have been asleep by now.
Now what? I can't think of anything else to write so... Let's talk movies.
What's in store for 2009?
Andrew Lloyd Webber is planning a sequel for Phantom of the Opera and Gerard Butler may be playing The Phantom again. Ooh, looove.
X-men Origin: Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman is also coming this year. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Ice Age 3, I don't remember the whole title but it has something to do with dinosaurs. Hopefully, the second installment of the His Dark Materials Trilogy comes out this year too.
Chandni Chowk to China, one of the very few movies that have been allowed to shoot at the Great Wall of China. If I remember it right, it's about an ordinary cook [I think] who became a Kung Fu master because he apparently is a reincarnation of an ancient hero. Or something like that, Just heard it from the news. Kinda common for a story line but I heard it's good and I think this will be a good movie to watch.
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans. This made my brother giddy. I am a huge fan of vampire movies but I didn't really get to watch any of the Underworld movies. Well, I am kinda more into male vampire. Hehe. Eitherway, vampires versus werewolves are always interesting.
Pink Panther 2. I haven't seen the first movie so who cares? I don't. Hahahaha.
Push, starring Dakota Fanning, is about kids with special abilities. Sounds X-men-y but, hey, we love mutants, so definitely a gotta-watch.
Confessions of a Shopaholic, based from a novel by Sophia Kinsella. Not really sure what this is about but Eugene likes it, so I believe it's good.
Friday the 13th. I guess the title speaks for itself. It's a horror movie. I gotta see this one.
Pause. I haven't been to the theatres for a long time. But hopefully, I get to again this year. That's why I'm writing this movie blog, so I'd remember what movies I could possibly get to see when I actually get to go to a cinema this year.
Gomorrah. I think I remember hearing about thisin the new. It got good review so most probably this is a good movie. This is about the flaw, the weak part of Italy's crime scene. If you like detective movies, maybe this one's for you.
Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience. Well, I'm not into them but they're cute [esp. Nick] so maybe, just maybe, I'll see this movie. Or maybe I'll just wait for it to be shown in Disney Channel. Hahahaha.
Watchmen. I heard Fox and Warner is having trouble about the showing date but who cares right? We love graphic novels [though I haven't really read it]. We love superheroes. And we definitely love movie adaptations, so I will watch this one too. Btw, movie poster available at comingsoon.net, just in case you're intrigued.
Monsters vs. Aliens. I have no idea what this movie is about but it's made by DreamWorks so it's certainly good for people of all ages. Plus it's 3D. Who doesn't love 3D? I know I do.
The Fast and the Furious. No idea about this. Not a fan. See it for yourself, if you are. XP
Dragonball Evolution. I don't know. I've seen the old movie of Dragonball, and I was a child then so I admires it but if I am to see it this time, I really don't know. I hope they make this one a good one, with the effects and all. Not sure if I'll even try to see this.
Hanna Montana The Movie. I can sing better than her [] but I love the series. Maybe I'll love this movie too. We'll see.
The Soloist. A drama about musicians. Music is a good enough reason to see this movie and maybe I will.
Star Trek. Not a fan of Sci-Fi so I'm not really sure what to expect with this. I leave it to you.
Wild Child. A teen flick, or so it seems to me since it's about a 16-year-old brat that is sent off to a foreign school where she meets foreign people who eventually changes her blah-blah-blah.
Angels and Demons. If you liked The Da Vinci code, both the book and the movie, them you must also see this one 'cause I will.
By the way, you won't really get much from this post because one, these are the only 2009 more movies that I'm familiar with and there are more movies to watch out for this year, and two, you don't really have to listen to what I'm saying. It's just my opinion and I can't even give out real review and recommendations. I just wanted to write something to kill time though I don't want to write anything personal right now. You chose to click that link and read this entry so deal with it. Hehehehe
Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian. I haven't seen the first movie though I have seen the trailer of this movie and it's definitely a fun movie to watch. See for yourself.
Terminator: Salvation stars Christian Bale. I'm not a fan of Sci-Fi and I haven't seen the other installment of Terminator [or maybe I have but I was too young to remember]. There's also a series shown in AXN every Wednesday, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. If you like futuristic movies, and you love robots, maybe you should see this sequel. And you, kids, enjoy, okay?
Up, from Disney-Pixar, is a movie about a man who dreams to travel the world, and fulfills his life long dream by tying his house to thousands of balloons. I've already seen the trailer a[yay 3d] and I think I like this movie and I just might see it.
Land of the Lost. Time travel and dinosaurs. I think I'm liking it already.
The Haunting in Connecticut. Based from a true story, this is a horror movies that follow the tradition of The Exorcist and The Exorcism of Emily Rose. If you're into ghosts, possessions, exorcism, and a lot of screaming, you must watch this movie.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I'm not into sci-fi and robots but Transformers is an exception. I dunno. I loved the first movie, I bet I'll love this one too. Revenge is Coming. Nice Tagline. Coming June 26, 09.
More familiar movies. G. I. Joe The Rise of the Cobra. Reminds me of childhood but I don't remember anything more.
Final Destination: Death Trip 3D. Wow. I just hope this live up to the gorey images death of the installments that came before it.
Fame, reminds me of that song that says remember my name, Fame, I'm gonna live forever, is about the student of the High School of the Performing Arts in New York. Other than that, I know nothing else. Hehe
Toy Story. Yay, more 3D animation movies!
Man, this is getting old. Good thing, I'm almost done. Hehehehe
Astro Boy. Haven't seen the anime but, hey, this is interesting.
Saw VI. Okay, more gore. Not really a fan of carnage movies [almost hurled at Cannibal Holocaust--I prefer seeing any kind of meat cooked] but if you think watching gore is makes you hardcore then watch this on your own. I can watch this at home when they show it on cable but I'm never going to go to a cinema just to watch this movie. And movies like this lose the horror, the suspense and the thrill when you hear all those noisy, screaming movie-goers. I'd rather watch movies at home and alone. Oh, well.
The Fantastic Mr. Fox, another children's story movie adaptation. Can't wait to see this film and can't wait to finish this post.
Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. It's been a long time since we saw the first movie and who knows what surprise is waiting for is in this sequel.
New Moon. I still have no idea why Twilight is such a hit because though I'm a big fan of vampire movies, I still haven't seen the movie nor read the book and I am sure I won't be knowing why this sequel will be a hit anytime soon.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel. I have not seen the first movie and I have no idea what we could actually expect in this installment. Hahahaha.
The Princes and the Frog. It's an animated comedy, it's a musical and it's from Disney. Reason enough to watch.
Nutcracker: The Untold Story. Hey, it says untold, how should I know what it's about? Hahahaha. Just watch out for it.
Glad that's over. I am so never writing this again. At least not until next year.
Born to be Wild. Actually, kanina pa. So I gotta go. Goodnight, world!
