The Tale of the Thrill of the New Trail

The gist: I woke up at a few minutes before lunchtime and went straight to the computer to go online. I saw Joan's YM stat, and told her I want to climb to, so we decided to go.

Last time we were here was January 3rd last year. It's been a long while and I'm glad to be back.

Biglaan? Gulatan to. Hahahaha. We made Anna our contact person, she wanted to go to but Sunday is like their family night. The climb was a race against sunset, well, we wanted to see sunset in Batulao and we never failed.

Gotta love buko. Fresh and and naturally chilled.

We only made it to the 9th station. We wanted to go to the last peak but the wind is so strong. And it's getting too dark and we had two kids, Melvin and Jessica, as our guide.

Ratratan. We never had breaks. And literal na night trekking ito. Ang tindi. We started late so we kinda came down late. It took us hours before we can take a series of rides home, and man, it's so cold. Lot colder than it was when I was last there which was last week.

It's been months since I last wore my climbing shoes. Man, I love that shoes so much, and I missed it that much too.

I love my shots, well, most of it. Some of it are blurred though. Anyway, I have my cousin to thank for lending me here camera. Sayang it's on VGA so the pictures are kinda small but, hey, 8 megapixels looks pretty much DSLR-ish. See for yourself.

We met nice people on the way up and when we got down, like CUTE mountaineers. Hehe

Had nilagang baka for dinner at Ate Fe's which was just as good as when I first tasted it. Love.

I'll bring more friends the next time we go back to Batulao and hopefully I get to go to Peak 10.

I'm stinky and I'm sore. Gotta bath and catch me my Z's for the night. Sweet dreams, people.
