Post-Valentine Nature Trip
Mt. Makiling Forest Reserve, Los Baños, Laguna

Me, Issah and her friend "Bords", Joycen, Raymond, Erick

Okay, so we were supposed to go to Mudspring which is still a few kilometers away up from Flat Rocks but we came late [one factor is that when some of us came later than the assembly time, hehe, myself included]. Apparently, they have this visitation cut-off time of 1pm for Mudspring visitors. The forest officers suggested that we go to Flat Rocks instead and explore the place and other points of interest in the reserve. What excited me about this is when he mentioned something about raptors [large birds of prey] 'cause I love animals. We were all disappointed but it's better than spoiling the trip, I even jokingly asked what the place looked like-- if it was filled with rocks that are flat. When we reached the turning point, we were so tempted to break the rules and risk being banned from the place but we didn't, just took a picture of the signage and went on with our trek to FR. A few meters away, we could already hear the sound of rushing water and happy voices. When we got there, it was surprisingly spectacular. The giant rock formations was unbelievable. The gushing water was so soothing. And so, we explored. Went rock climbing, and almost got to the highest point [Mond and I was the only one who went up to the higher rocks]. There are still higher rocks to climb but Erick already called out to go. It was time to go because they're closing the reserve by 4pm. It was fun and we're definitely coming back and try the Mudspring mud pack. Sugoi!

More photos from Issah and Erick.

Sa mga sumama at di nakasama: new adventure next week. See y'all!!!
