Pier One+Jaipur+Starbucks

It was worth missing the 2 hour-long Avatar concluding movie, Sohin's Comet.

We were seated directly behind the speakers at Pier One, and hardly heard each other. The food was good though. Dim lights = eye sore. Hehe. Anyway, Nanay Zita was the first one to arrive with her nephew, who, by the way, she had to thank for coming or she would have gone to a real pier, you know, the one where ships are docked. Hehe. The CAs who were there was Kaye, who organized the gathering, NiƱa, Patani, Rob, who was the last to arrive, and, of course, Nanay Zita. The Dottv people who came was Moi, Jhed, Teshe, May, Ed, Buster.

They're promoting Season 2 soon. I'm so excited, and Artist Center has a gimmick for Valentine's. They'll be placing their AC Talents at different places and will have them find a date then and there. Can't wait for how this will turn out. hehe.

K wasn't there. He went to Guam to attend to their family business. They are planning another one next week, and K will be back by then. By the way, this time, they plan to go to Embassy. Goodluck naman sa'kin. I hope I already have moolah then so I can join them.

We met Tim Yap on the way to Jaipur. He looks shorter on tv but he was really tall when I saw him, or maybe he's wearing elevator shoes again? I don't really know.

It wasn't my idea of fun, and a night life but I had fun except for the smell of cigarettes smoke, sweat, and the dim lights again. Love the swirly lights. I didn't dance, am not really a party person. I just watched them and took photos. I went there to hangout and have fun. They also had a booty shaking contest. The contestants looked like wild high school kids. Anyway, they also had a dance-off. Cool hiphop dancers though I am still not a fan of hiphop of dancing. Also saw this cute guy at the DJ's booth. See that photo P1310396, he's the one seating beside that fat guy in glasses. I wanted to take his picture before he left but maybe I'll go back there to see him again someday. Hehe.

We left for Starbucks at 2am. The real bonding happened there. Discovered a lot of things about Survivor and what has happened behind the cameras, pre-, post- and during the show. Also found out private and personal things about some people that I cannot tell you about. Hehe.

Left Starbucks at 4am. Kaye gave us a lift, we brought Nanay home and dropped us off at Coastal Road.

I had fun. So am I going to do this again? Maybe. When? Someday.

Unloved

Nor remembered, nor ever part of the people-that-must-never-be-forgotten, never on the priority list.

What's she talking about?

Nothing. Or.. Secret?! Just some sad reality slapping you in the face over and over again, in your isolation, in your solitude, and even when you're not alone. Good thing I still have a few people watching my back somehow making me feel loved and cared for, reminding me that I still have friends, that I'm still alive and I'm not just a forgotten departed lying on a nameless grave.

I'm so happy that very special people came into my life and made my year last year, chasing my usual holiday blues. And since then I've never been so lonely, just a little hehe. So, Levy-chan does not feel so unloved anymore. And besides, I'm hanging out with my new friends tomorrow. I have no idea how our little gathering will turn out but I'm really excited.

See you all later, I'll post the pictures as soon as I come back the next day.

Buh-bye!

The Tale of the Thrill of the New Trail

Mt. Batulao, Nasugbu, Batangas
January 25, 2009

The gist: I woke up at a few minutes before lunchtime and went straight to the computer to go online. I saw Joan's YM stat, and told her I want to climb to, so we decided to go.

Last time we were here was January 3rd last year. It's been a long while and I'm glad to be back.

Biglaan? Gulatan to. Hahahaha. We made Anna our contact person, she wanted to go to but Sunday is like their family night. The climb was a race against sunset, well, we wanted to see sunset in Batulao and we never failed.

Gotta love buko. Fresh and and naturally chilled.

We only made it to the 9th station. We wanted to go to the last peak but the wind is so strong. And it's getting too dark and we had two kids, Melvin and Jessica, as our guide.

Ratratan. We never had breaks. And literal na night trekking ito. Ang tindi. We started late so we kinda came down late. It took us hours before we can take a series of rides home, and man, it's so cold. Lot colder than it was when I was last there which was last week.

It's been months since I last wore my climbing shoes. Man, I love that shoes so much, and I missed it that much too.

I love my shots, well, most of it. Some of it are blurred though. Anyway, I have my cousin to thank for lending me here camera. Sayang it's on VGA so the pictures are kinda small but, hey, 8 megapixels looks pretty much DSLR-ish. See for yourself.

We met nice people on the way up and when we got down, like CUTE mountaineers. Hehe

Had nilagang baka for dinner at Ate Fe's which was just as good as when I first tasted it. Love.

I'll bring more friends the next time we go back to Batulao and hopefully I get to go to Peak 10.

I'm stinky and I'm sore. Gotta bath and catch me my Z's for the night. Sweet dreams, people.

PS: I'm sure I missed out on other details, kwentuhan na lang tayo.

The light.. is out

Okay, so my life is kind of a settled and monotonous routine that is hard to escape or as www.thefreedictionary.com defines it, a rut.

I know I said a lot of stuffs like date with destiny, purpose, and how you'll never know what you'll find unless you find out for yourself, but, hey, I changed my mind. It's fun to watch a race but not as fun if you're actually in it. Maybe next time I'll actually join the run, and train for it, and have my name registered. I was having last minute thoughts, and it took me hours to make up my mind to finally not go. But it's all behind us now, right? So I missed it today, there are a lot more races coming in the future that I can join or support my friends in. And I'm kinda not city-smart, I had to ask a few people before I can make sure what route to take to get to my destination.

Anyway, I'm off to dayhike today. Biglaan lang. Sobrang biglaan. Got planned just now, a few minutes ago that's biglaan adventures are usually the greatest adventures, right?

Okay, off to bath now and meet Joan in Dasma and climb Batulao. Buh-bye!

The light, the light

Everyday is a date with destiny.

I was having second thoughts about coming to tomorrow's race but something, somehow tells me that I have to go. You know what they say: nothing ventured, nothing gained and you'll never know if you don't try, or in my case, you'll never know why you feel like you really have to go there unless you really go there and find out for yourself. Again, I'm not joining the race though my Mom thinks I should have, so I could lose some weight. But, hey, you know how it is, you know how I am too lazy to run, just as lazy to go there and have my name registered. Well, I'm still having second thoughts but I will go anyway. The thought of going there excites me but imagining what could have been, what could be happening because I was not there to see for myself will kill me with regret.

Surprise, surprise. What surprise has tomorrow got in store for me?

We'll see and find out tomorrow. Air hugs, people!

Thoughtful

Haven't heard from him for a while until last night. Got this text message from him and right after reading it, the TVC popped out of the TV. Hehe.

Anyway it was still nice that he texted. He apologized for being so busy, but he didn't really have to. It's not his job to check on everyone, everytime, and not even to update them unless they ask him to. He has no business apologizing, he doesn't owe anyone anything. He has a life of his own; we may be a little part of it but I think it's too much to ask. I mean, he was kind enough to take us in as his friends, and it's already means a lot to me, but to keep everyone posted, every single one who is supporting him.. Whoa. That's an aweful lot of love. Remind me to thank his Mom and Dad for bringing him into this world and raising him well.

And I was going to watch it anyway, like I always do. No matter how sleepy I already am, I try with all strength to stay up and see BTBW every week, not missing one episode ever since it started [except for that one time that we had brownout]. I've been hearing rumors that he'll be replacing one of my favorites hosts of my favorite show but I hope not. I love him, and it would make me happy, big time, if he becomes part of the show but having to replace one of them.. Oh, no. Please. That would break my heart.

So much for that. I just though I'd write about this because.. I dunno, 'cause I want to? Hahahaha.

Much love to Rastamann. See you when I see you again.
